3 of 5 Council Seats go to Candidates who Oppose the Rain Tax!

Thank you Elgin Voters!  You did it!   You spoke loudly and clearly that you have been taxed enough.  Three of the five council seats went to candidates who oppose the "Rain Tax" thanks to your time, treasure, and votes.

The Daily Herald states, "The five newly elected members of the Elgin City Council have different priorities, but all agree that the makeup of the council has taken a turn toward the fiscally conservative."

But the fight is not over!  A vote by the council on the Rain Tax may not take place until later this year.  Visit our Stop the Rain Tax website for more information.

Congratulations to those candidates who were victorious in the 2013 election:

o   John Prigge (Re-elected)
o   Terry Gavin
o   Toby Shaw
